Camp Hill line railway stations

Exciting progress continues on the Camp Hill Line, with brand-new railway stations at Moseley Village, Kings Heath and Pineapple Road set to reconnect South Birmingham to the rail network for the first time in 80 years.

These stations will provide faster, more reliable and sustainable transport options into Birmingham City Centre, reducing congestion and pollution on local roads. Each station will have 2 platforms, lifts, ticket machines, information screens, and secure bike parking.

A two-stage road closure will be in place on Pineapple Road and Cartland Road from Monday 18 August for up to 8 weeks. A signed diversion will be in place.

Phase 1 - Monday 18 August until Sunday 24 August 2025

Pineapple Road will be closed along with the junction at Cartland Road.

NXWM service 27 will be diverted as follows:

• Towards Rubery via Dad's Lane, Dogpool Lane and Pershore Rd to continue normal line of route.
• Towards Solihull via Pershore Rd, Dogpool Lane and Dad's Lane to continue normal line of route.

Stops along Pineapple Road and Cartland Road will not be served. The closest stop will be:

Travelling towards Solihull

• Pershore Rd, Umberslade Rd
• Pershore Rd, Warwards Lane
• Dad's Lane Shutlock Lane 

Travelling towards Rubery

• Dad's Lane, Shutlock Lane
• Hazelwell St, Umberslade Rd

Phase 2 - Monday 25 August until Tuesday 14 October 2025

Cartland Road will reopen but Pineapple Road will remain closed.

• NXWM service 27 towards Rubery: Buses will continue along Vicarage Rd, pass the junction with Avenue Rd and until the junction with Cartland Rd to continue normal line of route.
• NXWM service 27 towards Solihull: Buses will continue along the junction with Cartland Rd, pass the junction with Avenue Rd and continue along Vicarage Rd.

Stops along Pineapple Rd, Dad's Lane and Avenue Rd will not be served. The closest stop will be:

Travelling towards Rubery

• Vicarage Rd, Abbots Rd
• Cartland Rd, Pineapple Rd

Travelling towards Solihull

• Cartlands Rd, Lyndworth Rd
• Vicarage Rd, Abbots Rd
• Alternatively, use service 76 from Dad's Lane and Avenue Rd.
