Sprint

Solihul Town Centre

Ends: Ongoing

Last updated: 9 May 2025

What’s happening?

Sprint is a bus priority corridor that will link Walsall with the centre of Birmingham, Solihull and Birmingham Airport - joining the A34 with the A45 to create one continuous bus route.

Sprint will bring benefits for all bus passengers: providing more reliable, regular and predictable journey times, connecting our region and protecting our environment too.

A milestone project, Sprint is being delivered by Transport for West Midlands and forms part of the region-wide ambition to improve the public transport experience.

Solihul Town Centre

Improvement works to bus shelters in Solihull Town Centre will begin on Tuesday 27 May.

During this time, National Express services 72, 73, and Platinum X2 will use a temporary stop SA2, located in front of Turtle Bay, instead of their usual stop SA on Station Road.

Buses will continue to run through the Town Centre in both directions as normal.

These changes will be in place from Tuesday 27 May until Monday 16 June.

Please check this page regularly for the latest updates.
