West Midlands Rail Programme

The West Midlands Rail Programme (WMRP) is investing over £200m into new stations and network improvements. This will transform the region’s rail network and improve the railways in the West Midlands for everyone.  

We are leading the programme with the West Midlands Rail Executive (WMRE). 

These station improvements will give rail passengers a better experience. They will: 

• improve public spaces 
• encourage more people to use the train instead of driving 
• make the network easier to use for everyone
